Aftermarket Gas Caps? (Non-OEM)

All:

I'm a fairly new member and I'm wondering if anyone can point me in the direct of an aftermarket gas cap...I'm not sure what exactly I'm looking for, but I've browsed a bit on e-bay and the web in gener and have seen a ton of aftermarket gas caps for other bikes...but none for our vulcans. Please let me know. Thanks.

never was a lot of aftermarket parts for these bikes..

also, due to the way our cap attaches, not a lot of replacements avail. I went thru the same search a bit a go when the lock in my cap seized.

oem caps show up on ebay fairly often, and some members here occasionally have them as well. I got my oem cap from a member, and they included a key with it as well (so I didn't need to re-key the lock). it is in perfect condition, and works like a champ.

only reason to change it to something else would be to go for a different look

And if you want to change it you'll be cutting up your tank and welding in a new filler neck.

and if your willing to do that, you might be easier off looking at a different tank to mod to fit the frame/mounts

No thanks.

I might just pick up another cap.
