YouTube. . . Breakaway Throttle Lock.

The most professional looking Throttle Lock ( cruise control ) I've found, but it's only for 1" bars.

I saw one of those on a bike. he said they were around $180.
but he said it was the best one he ever used.

Well for metrics it says..

Slips over 1-3/8" to 1-1/2" dia. throttle grip*

Now our bars are 7/8" but what is the diameter of the throttle grip?

Cruiser Customizing has them on sale for $180:

It comes up as an accessory for the 750, according to them. I guess it should fit then?

I've had the Breakaway mounted on my bike for about a year and a half now. It works great, but it is tricky to mount and get it adjusted so that the throttle releases smoothly. You do have to add some washers as spacers in the mounting and use a longer bolt. You also have to use all the rubber spacers that come with it for gripping the throttle. You will understand better if you actually buy one and try to mount it. See these photos:
