Key cylinder?

I bought a set of Kawasaki saddle bags, and lost the key. Yeah... I'm a doofus.

Luckily, I was able to pick the lock on it and open then. The key cylinder look similar to the key cylinder in the rear compartment.

Does anyone know if Kawasaki will sell a set of key cylinder along with keys?

I want to get 3 cylinder, go ahead and replace the rear compartment along with the saddle bags so they all use the same keys.

If you take the cylinders to any competent lock smith, they should be able to make you a key and make sure all locks work with the same key.

Awesome! I'll take it to the local locksmith and see if they can make it all work with my ignition key, then so I can just use one key all the way around. Thanks!

As long as the locks use the same type key they should be able to do that.

Just a short note here. The ignition switch lock cylinder uses 4 or 5 pins to engage the key.
The gas cap (and I think the toolbox/trunk door on the back of the seat) do not use all the pins and thus the key does not insert as far into the key cylinder.

The saddlebag key may only insert far enough to engage 3 of the pins as well.

Hope you are able to get them rekeyed soon at a reasonable price.

Local lock smith did awesome! Still have a separate key for my saddle bags and ignition. But he did change the lock on the rear boot and the tank to use the same as my ignition key. So now I only have two set of keys instead of three.

You have one set of two keys instead of one set of three keys.
