New Saddle Bags - Viking Bags

okay - another saddlebag thread....

I just ordered the following

http://www.motorcyclehouse.com/nomad...hQueryId=48277

These appear to be the exact same thing as:

http://www.vikingbags.com/vulcan-750...-9909-prd1.htm

I even called both companies (I'm sure they are the same company) to ask if there is some difference (note the part number is the same on both sites).

At MotorcycleHouse.com I got them for $89.00 with free shipping (not quite sure how I got free shipping).

At Viking Bags they were $109.00 plus about $24.00 shipping.

I haven't received them yet. When I do I'll let everyone know how I like them.

I don't know if anyone else ever looked at motorcyclehouse so thought I would share. I happened upon the site after I found the bags on Vikingbags and did a google search for the part number.

they are similar, but notice the Roadhouse bags do not have the Viking badging on them.

Yeah - so far that's the only difference I know of. The description on the motorcyclehouse.com website even says "Viking Leather"

Same folks

Check this screenshot! I just used that site to see if they carried the bags I bought from Viking Bags. Not only do they carry them, but they're the same price AND they have the VIKING EMBLEM!!!

Malibu Shades windscreen, headlight visor, custom dashboard with voltmeter and clock, luggage rack, extended backrest, Viking saddlebags and toolbag, Wingerline engine guard with foot pads, light bar with halogen bulbs, Hardley Sportster muffs with crossover, homemade coasters, earshave with K&N pods, 142/42 jets with 2 shims each needle, MCCT's, AGM battery, coil relay mod, Iridiums with yellow NGK plug wires, relocated R/R, WOLO air horn, VN750.com chrome radiator guard

Motorcycle House is just a distributor of Vikingbag's products. I went on the Vikingbag website and used their product chat feature to ask what the connection was. I explained the price difference for the same product and the exact same product number. The representative explained that Motorcycle House is just an officially approved dealership for their products and that as such they can set their own pricing and specials as they want.

and always remember, "Ride until you rot!"
**Really not sure if the Big "C" is back right now
but having to face the fact that this is a lifetime routine
going forward. Five operations done and it still continues.

Initially I will just do the throwover method (tonight) - I wanted to get them on their quickly because I'm taking the bike on the road for a few days.

I may attempt the hard mount sometime in the future.

I know Okibezer did the hard mount method.
