KM's Dash with a twist

ok need opinions, Im planning on doing KM's dash set up but instead of stainless steel im going to use plastic from a cutting board. im leaning towards the black with specks because of the contrast and its 1/4 inch thick.
just need to hear some input

Go black....(and you won't go back)

I've used the white ones before... They will get dirty and are harder to keep clean.

That's a pretty good idea. You could also go with various colored boards that would complement bike's color scheme. I like the black specked one though. Have you thought how you are going to finish the ends after the cuts are done?

Malibu Shades windscreen, headlight visor, custom dashboard with voltmeter and clock, luggage rack, extended backrest, Viking saddlebags and toolbag, Wingerline engine guard with foot pads, light bar with halogen bulbs, Hardley Sportster muffs with crossover, homemade coasters, earshave with K&N pods, 142/42 jets with 2 shims each needle, MCCT's, AGM battery, coil relay mod, Iridiums with yellow NGK plug wires, relocated R/R, WOLO air horn, VN750.com chrome radiator guard

im using a band saw with a 24 tooth fine blade so the edges should be smooth, if not i may have to use some 800 paper on them

the black cutting board was found at kmart for 10 bucks.i was going to use 1/4 inch clear polycarbonate but it was too pricey and wasnt sure what to use to cut it.

Just as a side note, I plan on offering the dash again, this time made from
1/8" thick aluminum plate, sometime this spring.
Price to be announced.
