Those are kind of cool cause they come off so easy, and basically convert into a suitcase with a handle. But I like mine with the lights on it. It's a PITA to remove tho. It's a beeotch when you need to get into the toolbox to remove the seat!

Like that JC`W. rear case. Would like the larger case, but am wondering if
it would fit on Lena? Just looked at Fergy's bike pic and his back case appears
to be about the same as the large JC Whitney case.

Am sure the larger case will fit on my KLR650!

top luggage case

Hey Fergy...What kind of problems did you have if any in putting that thing on. I went to the website for the case and I do like what I saw. I assume that you must have the Kawi stock rack already on the bike in order to mount it. I have a 2002 750 which is crying out for some hard luggage.

Yeah Ernest, I have the KAW luggage rack. The trunk was no problem to install. I wired it to all the lights under the seat and ran the wires through the bottom of the trunk. I drilled a bigger hole in the trunk floor for the wires to pass through. It has a thin rubber pad that sits in the floor of it to cover the bottom. Bolts with huge washers go down through the inside and there are rails that are slotted that go on the bottom of the luggage rack (provided with trunk) that you put the bolts through and put on the nuts/lockwashers and large washers. Only thing I modded was I added rubber strips to the rails so they weren't making contact with the bottom of the rack and scratching it all up.

I broke the left side hinge and had to put a regular metal hinge on it. The lid has a tendancy to blow closed with every gust of wind, and I had my gloves laying over the left side and it was too much leverage and busted the hinge off. Wasn't hard to put on a regular hinge, but now I have a silver one on one side. One of these days I'll paint it black. The added lights get quite a few compliments from other bikers.

Luggage

Thanks for your reply. The place that sells them is located in San Jose Ca which is just south of me. Is yours the medium size one or the large one?

I think it's the large one but I can't remember for sure. Knowing me, I would have ordered the biggest one since I have to carry so much stuff. Of course, it's usually barely large enough.
