Painted my gauges

I finally painted the set I originally had on the 94 because I'm taking the chrome set off to put on my 2002. I sanded, primered and then painted them with Rust-oleum #7271 Silver Metallic. They really shine now.

Do you need to put a clear coat on that so you don't get surface oxidation?

The can says you can clear it, bit it's a gloss finish so I don't think I'll get any oxidation.
