Im surprised you didnt mention this Knife, since I think yer the one that did before.
Close yer eyes and sit on the bike in your preferred riding position. Stretch yer arms out to where you feel would be best to hold the grips. have a friend there to take note and measure.
If youre not concerned about looks, then thats the best way to do it for comfort. I prefer wider bars because its less of a drastic control. the tighter you are to the steering head, the jerkier your steering will be. Also, you being tall, make sure your grips arent higher than your shoulders if you go taller bars. Thats a no no in most states. I like mine to be halfway between shoulder and elbow.
Remember too, with different bars, you may need to get longer cables.
I just bent my stock to suit for now (wider and less sweep), but am looking for others. Check the dealerships too. many guys when buying a new bike or shortly after will have the dealer install customs. My local dealer has a "bargain bin" with all kindsa stock parts fer 1/2 price. Some may show a lil wear. But beats shipping and you can then "feel them" which you cant do by mail.
