Towing....

Did they offer a tow-hitch package for the 750?
I don't care much for saddlebags on a bike, seems like they usually get in the passengers way. I thought ,if they offered a hitch style set-up, maybe pulling one of those lil pup trailers wouldn't be too bad.

I have only seen one member post a photo of his hitch....but he made it himself. The framing he made added weight to the bike and seemed counter productive to me.

I wouldn't recommend towing with the VN750. The bike is not very heavy to begin with.

Well you'll likely find out it's not that easy to find anything for the Vulcan 750...long history of poor aftermarket support. But,

Yes you can tow a small trailer with the bike, you just will have to fab up your own hitch. I've seen others do it. I though someone here posted up a drawing of how to make one but can't find it.

I drew one up myself years ago, but it got lost when my PC crashed....

EDIT----- hey, found a thread on this with a link to a place that looks like they offer a hitch:

Only had to pour through 20 pages of posts.....lol.

Is anyone interested in ,when it arrives, me taking some pictures and some measurements in case you'd like to someday make your own.

I for one would be interested in seeing this installed.

I have no plans on doing this myself, but am curious how it attaches to the bike and how it looks.

What type of trailer do you plan on towing?

I'm still looking for a trailer. Something used and light and cheap. I live in illinois and in my area ,it's hard pressed to find a used pull behind for less than $2000. Harbor freight still has a cheapy for less than 400 but i'm not sure about it.
