Another way to finish the floorboards

So I just finished off my floorboards and thought I would share the results. I bought these unfinished from ksmnet. I really wanted to try and match the look of the Kuryakyn ISO grips, and the Kuryakyn brake pedal covers. So I came up with the look in the attached photos. I polished the aluminum with various wet sandpaper, starting at 600 and moving all the way through to 2000 grit. I then polished the boards with mothers aluminum polish, cut rubber strips and used epoxy to attach. I could not be happier with the finished product.Click image for larger version

Nice work, they match up well. Going to look into something similar when I can get some free time to start doing more mods. Right now I'd settle for some ride time! Raining here for the last couple of days and in the forecast for the next few days too!
