Love my new ride--BUT

I posted last week that I bought a 2001 V750. Mint condition with 8840 easy miles on it. After reading all the great information on this site I did the suggested maintenance, air/fuel mixture, and marbleing. This is my first V-Twin. Took the bike for my first ride today ( 22 miles, 48 degrees ). Bike is SWEET. Runs great, handles great, and everthing works and very tight.
BUT-- Is the Vulcan 750 engine a very noisy engine? Mine sure is. I didn't expect it to be so noisy and have a slight whine. I used Rotella T 15-40 as suggested here. Really like the bike. Any suggestions or comments?
Thanks,
Jim

I would say that most here would say that it bike is noisey. Even with all adjustment correst, mainly the ACT's. there is still a lot of chain noise. This is just the nature of the beast. Have a lot of fun and ride on I would say. If you may think you have ACT noise then try rebuilding them, or go with the MCT conversion that you can find in the threads.
I did it 10,000 miles ago, and no problem since than.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I'll learn to live with the noise.
