Cool Toolkit/document holder?

I'm having difficulty searching for a replacement toolkit/document holder (the lockbox that is behind the seat above the rear tire).

Maybe I'm using the wrong words (sorry, newbie here), but I just bought a Vulcan 750 on Friday and that box is broken. It doesn't appear to be sold with the seat.

Any ideas? Thanx in advance.

Are you missing the whole toolbox, or just the door and lock (above the red reflector), after the hinge broke?

See this thread for option to build a replacement door.

I have the whole thing, but it's just held on with a bungee cord at the moment.

But the thread gave me (a now somewhat obvious) idea - I'll just try and make/fix it with a better hinge. Thanks!

Here`s a thread with directions and pictures for using a piano hinge.
https://www.vn750.com/forum/showthrea...=toolbox+hinge

I just did some preventative maintenance on mine using a pair of 4 inch strap hinges just like this.
https://www.vn750.com/photopost/showp...ze=big&cat=502
I rate my work on it ~ 99%, but the hinges are not perfectly aligned, and it just slightly binds when it is opened. It is not visually noticeable when closed. I would use the piano hinge if I had it to do again.
