Question Solo Seat / Aftermarket Seat

Does anyone know if there is an aftermarket seat available for the VN750? I have looked everywhere and cannot find anything available. Everything I see fits the VN800 and larger. Does anyone know if the seats for the 800 will fit the 750? Sorry to ask so many questions, just not having any luck thus far in my search. Thanks in advance!

Corbin makes a seat for our bike, and Mustang used to, there is a member on the forum selling his Mustang seat, (check the swap threads). Now both of these seats mentioned are stock replacement seats. If you want to go to a Solo seat, you have to fab one up from another bike, several people have used Harley Davidson seats, the VN800 seat, and even a VN1500 seat.... then there are guys like me who just built a seat from scratch.

Thanks for the information. I am looking for a solo seat. Do you happen to have instructions for how you did a custom solo for your ride? I have spoken with another member about how he did his, but I am keeping my options open for the best fit. Thanks again!

All my reserch on aftermarket seat I saw a place in canada that still has some (mustang) listed as in stock. Sorry no link as i have it at home in my bookmarks. I cant justify paying 1/3rd my bike price for a seat.. but a sore butt may be worth it in the long run.. I just dont know yet.

Try this guy. Much cheaper than a Mustang or Corbin, and pretty fast turn around. msh1156 and others have had theirs done and liked it. http://greatdaytoride.com/Home_Page.php

I'm keepin' all the left over parts. I'm gonna use 'em to build another bike!

Tis true, tis true. Spencer does good work and is fast.
WAAAAYYYY cheaper than another seat.
If what he does isn't enough, then you will need to cough up serious dough.

HERE is my right up on making a seat, I got a lot of good information on making a fiberglass seat pan from www.jeffryphips.com, and used the write up on www.DIYmotorcycelseats.com to pad and cover the seat. The only difference between going with the DIY Motorcycle seat write up is, I used the $5.00 Wal Mart Camping sleeping pad made out of closed cell Poly foam, and 3M headliner adhesive to layer the foam.

Over all I think a good looking seat that is very comfortable can be had from making your own seat, or even buying another stock seat to chop up and mod into a solo seat.
