Bags

DT is probably right.
If you're looking for dimensions, I think the ideal size might be 20" x 12" x whatever. Of course tail light relocator kit would be needed for this.
(Wish Saddlemen made an affordable Cruis'n Slant in this size.)

Bags Bags and more Bags

I agree and I agree...never too much space but why mess up the lines of the scoot if you're not really bagging daily or planning that x-country 4 week vacation?

I had a pair of H-D hardcase bags from a Sporster XLCH. Fabricated my own hangers that tie into the bitchseat pegs as well as the fender mount holes so it doesn't shake my gin on the way home. For my taste, the hard bags that are 17 to 20 long, 10-12 high and 7-8 wide are plenty big and still keep the bike looking as it should. The HD clips make for a quick dismount for cleaning.

Don't buy that $119 stuff off eBay. Got a neighbor that mounted a pair last week on a Suzi Intruder, and the first time he he caught pant legs coming off the bike on the bags, instant crack. And the cheap "universal" mounts look like something for a moped and vibrate going down the road like mad. Doesn't look cool at all.

I had a set of Willie /Max bags on but they were so small my coat and chaps wouldn't fit so my hubby got a pair of Saddleman Jumbo bags... we had to add bag supports but they are great... big enough to carry whatever you need for a long ride...But I still need to relocate the turn signals....I ride solo ...so the size could be an issue if you ride 2 up......there are pics with the Saddleman bags on and the Willie/Max bags check them out...

2000 vn750 purchased in May 2008 13658 miles on her
degoated Cobra pipes added
metzler 880 on the rear in May 2009
Street Shield EX...(no more bugs)

NEEDED MODS
relocate rear turn signals
wanting to add a highway bar

But hey shes all mine and I love riding every chance I get!!!!!!!!

These may be the $119 bags that Always on Two warned you away from. It`s up to you to decide how much you are willing to spend, and what you need, and the look you want. I believe the smaller bags measure about 17"long, 12" high, and three different models at 6",7", and 8" wide. Some have extra lights too.

Mutazu has larger bags for bigger bikes too, but I think they probably look too big on the vn750.
