Does anyone remember this?

I was a previous website member in the past (Live Long and Prosper) but went away for quite a time due to up-generation family issues. At that time back then my wife had no desire to ride with me. Since then I have upgraded the seat by getting a good, local upholsterer to do it right. Now the wife wants to go and is really enjoying it. Anyway........... I remember someone had a modification to the rear side of the fender where the two bolts go through the chrome piece that is the bottom of the backrest. This modification was essentially two much longer bolts that went into the factory holes, through two different length tubes, ending in a flat steel bar that was wrapped in leather. The idea was to provide hand grips for the rear seater.
I remember seeing pics of it somewhere but darned if I can find them now. I'm looking to make a similar modification so she can have some solid hand grips.
Aside from that, I'm open to suggestion for any other mods people have come up with for passenger comfort.
The seat and backrest are already done deals. Any other ideas?

If you want to make it shiny, you could use long chrome sockets to get the hand grips away from the fender rails, and polished SS bolts to attach it.

My wife just hangs onto me.

I'm keepin' all the left over parts. I'm gonna use 'em to build another bike!

Knifemaker's grab rails look real nice. They look very functional, too. However, when my wife is riding with me, I much prefer she hold on TO ME! Kind of brings back that old time feeling, if you know what I mean.

This should be the correct link. Its a strap that goes around the driver and has two handles on the sides for the passenger to hold on to.
