Windshields

Ok girls and guys, got a question and I'm sure every one has a different answer, but it will help me in my search. I have a 06' 750 and Im getting ready to do a weeks worth of riding here in June. I've been thinking of a windshield to help cut down on the wind and all, which on long trips, can wear ya out.
I'm looking for some thing small, easy to put on and is detachable. Just enough to cut the wind, not knock it down all the way.
Any suggestions? Throw in where I might get it for a good price too, while you are at it.

Thanks!

I bougt a Spitfire windscreen. It will keep the wind off your chest, but leave your hands, arms, and top of your head in the breeze. I like it. They start at about $68 online, and there are others similar to them. I got mine used on CraigsList and saved a little cash. If you buy used, know that the brackets might be too short for your bike. Mine came off a honda 250, and the windscreen tilts to the rear a little due to short posts.
Still works, just more wind in my face.

I do LOTS of dumb stuff. Riding is only one of them.

I have/had a "Spitfire" windshield on my vn750. it is small. very easy to put on and is detachable. it comes off very easy and very fast. it keeps the wind off my chest and out of my face. it's great for warm weather/summer riding.

you can find them on ebay for around $60.00 which is a good price for a new one! there are some on ebay right now for $56.90 with free shipping! that is a good deal for new!!

hope this helps you.

If you want something a bit bigger than the above, you can't go wrong with the following:

http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com...indshield.aspx

When I had this one on my bike, it was remarkably turbulence-free, even at interstate speeds. And at 18" high from the headlamp, I could see over it just about perfect when it was raining--eliminating a major safety issue.

I hope to have my bike back on the street later this month, and have ordered another one of these to replace its predecessor.

A bigger windshield...as strange as this seems....will make the bike itself "appear" to be bigger, as well. Prior to the above-mentioned unit, I had a Plexistar 2 from National Cycle, which was a couple of clicks bigger than this one from Memphis Shades. The Plexistar made the bike seem even bigger when sitting in the parking lot. Thus, (with the hard, lockable saddllebags) it drew more stares, as others first thought it was a "dresser" bike.....

I have style 4 of the non-sporty link that dirttrack has in his above link. I'm 6'3" and if I scoot down a bit, it will keep the wind off my chest but helmet still gets full impact of the wind.

spitfire FTW

I have the spitfire on mine and it seems to do the job. I'm right around 6'1" and the wind is not too bad. EBAY rocks for stuff like this.
