Anyone have a stock seat?

Hello again!

I'm looking to modify the stock seat into something more comfortable for me. It will actually be a complete rebuild, I really just want to get my hands on the pan. Does anyone have a spare stock seat they're willing to part with for a reasonable fee?

I suppose I should say I'm willing to entertain any price. I would prefer to get a seat in worse shape than better simply because my plans are to destroy it upon receipt.

Alright, then what about the 34 dollar one on ebay posted above? I have one but its in perfect shape - they usually go for around 80 give or take...

that was my point Liberty, My seat is in excellent shape and won't part with it for under 100... might sound steep, but when a corbin or mustang go for 300-600 bucks, price is relative

I have 2 Vulcan 750 seat pans and a brand new cover with buttons. I'm willing to part with the pans for $20 each plus $10 to ship (if it doesn't cost the much to ship I'll refund the difference, if it's more then I'll cover it). Send me a PM if interested.

say, whats the foam in our seats made of? is it just soft foam? because if all you have is the pan, i might be interested in making some custom seats. problem is i dunno what kind of base foam to use, and what not, not to mention absolutely no effing experience.

check out DIYmotorcycleseat.com This guy has a great how to tutorial on customizing a stock seat, and goes into great details on every aspect of the process to include foam types, how to shape the foam for better comfort, and lastly how to reattach every thing to make a nice professional looking seat.

yea i've seen that site before. short of taking my stock seat apart and not having a seat to ride one, anyone know what foam we have on our seats?
it feels like its just 100% 1 material as opposed to a base foam and a top layer.

actually one of my problems with the seat are it makes me slide forward and them im basically balls on the tank.
