LANCE & HINES CUSTON EXHAUST by "Lance328"

I was going to wait untill I was completely finished to post but after welding, grinding, painting and wrapping I had to see the creation and share with the group.

The first step was to cut off the 2-3/8" inlet and weld on the 1-7/8" reducer, then fill and grind any imperfections. I hade the tube bent for the right side to mate with the factory head pipe. Once everything was in plae I tack welded for fitment, then removed for final welding.

I installed to make sure the fitment was the same after welding then removed for grinding and painting w/high temp ceramic paint.

After paint had dried for 24hrs. I proceeded to do the fiberglass wrap, the wrap looked so damn good I had ro remove the paint tapeand get a look at the almost final product.

I still have to tape everything off except for the wrap, it will get coated in a silicone based paint that will seal the wrap from the enviromental crap like dirt, mud and general road debris. After silicone paint is done I will secure the ends with SS Zip ties and remove the nylon ones.

L&H Continued

The L&H exhaust is six inches longer than the V&H Cruzers and gives a deeper sound, and yes!!! They sound frikin awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Video w/sound is comming as soon as Wileysden comes to have them installed.

I have not added up all receipts for materials but it is right at $200.00 which is still a damn good price for a custom exhaust that you can't buy anywhere but from me.

Looks awesome. I am curious to the sounds....is it louder than V and H?
Also, how much will you be charging for a set?

Hey lance those look fine. I seem to recall an earlier post mentioning these were coming, but I don`t recall any details. Are the chrome mufflers you started with, the standard ones that come with the V&H Cruisers? Or is the extra 6 inches in the length of the muffler, not the 1 7/8" pipe?

The chrome tips are six inches longer than the V&H tips.

Who makes them, and where do you get them?

Could they be modified with the 1 7/8" pipe to just replace the slip-ons of the oem exhaust?

3A racing makes the tips, you can get them at most any parts store.

You coud use them as slip ons but why would you. You still have to cut the inlets off and weld on the correct reducer, bend and weld pipe on the right side and weld on mounting brackets.

After all the welding you just did why would you want to make them slip-ons instead of welding to the head pipes.
