Hah, I bet you guys thought this thread was going to be about Viagra. ;) It's actually about switching up windshields.

Within the last 6 months, I added at Memphis Shades 19-inch windshield in Gradient Black. It looked great on the bike; but unfortunately, the height was the exact imperfect height for me. By all the 'books' the 19 inch windshield should have been the right size. However, the slipstream coming over the top was creating a concentrated blast that was hitting my helmet and face shield just above the eyebrow line. As a result the wind buffeting was horrendous. I would ride down the road looking like a cheap bobble head doll and end up with a massive headache every time I took the bike out.

I recently ordered and just received the new 'glass' for my Memphis Shades windshield. I found a good deal on ordering just the lexan windshield (no straps, no mounting kit, no hardware) and upped to the 21-inch. Thankfully, the hardware (metal support / dressing straps) are interchangeable. I just got back in from the 'shake-down' ride after installing the new shield.... and WOW what a difference!!! :D

The extra two inches of shield, has cut the wind buffeting to all but nil. The wind noise dropped so much I had to turn down my music because it was blowing my ears out. No more headaches either! This was the best ride I have had in months and months.

:notworthy ----> new windshield!

So for all you out there who have 'heard the talk' let me assure you -- that SIZE DOES MATTER!

Coincidentally, I now have a fairly new (completely unscratched) 19-inch Gradient Black Memphis Shades Windshield that I am willing to part with. There is no hardware and no straps -- this is the lexan portion ONLY. If you have a Memphis shades and need to upgrade or down grade (as the case may be) to a 19-inch piece of glass, feel free to hit me up.

Antiq ... according to the shipping label on the new shield, it was 6 lbs through UPS. I expect the old shield will have the same weight and I put it right into the box the new one came in. If you want to PM me, we can work out details for you to send me a shipping label and the shield will be on its way.
