Will Plexistar 2 Fit or Not?

Thinking that in my warm climate the Plexistar 2 would be better for me than the Plexifairing 3, but National Cycle says the 2 won't fit my VN750! I know some of you guys have the 2 on your rides. What gives? Have they modified the 2 so it no longer fits, do you have to mod the 2 to make it fit, or what?!!

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm keepin' all the left over parts. I'm gonna use 'em to build another bike!

they're full of $#it. I'm not using it just now, but I have the Plexi 2 and it fits fine. It takes only a little adjustment and patience. It's a good shield.

On mine (the PF 3), the turn signals rub against the shield when I have it set where I like it.
A piece of rubber glued to the shield will stop any damage to the two.
That's the only reason I see for them saying it wont it.

Of the two, the PF 3 is the only one they recommend for the VN750! I remember seeing an older National Cycle fitment chart that showed the PS 2 fitting, but can't find it now. Their current chart doesn't show the PS 2 fits!

Garage
PS2 on my Vulcan:
http://tinyurl.com/ytnvx7

The PS 2 actualy fits better than the PF3. I would call them and have them explain it to you.

The only thing I can think of is that they make several versions of the PS2 , to fit several different bike models, and that for some reason the one version that they made for Vulcan is nor longer available.

But I don't think that is the case as the sheilds are kinda a "universal fit" windscreen.

So call them. They likely just dropped the Vulcan from their fitment chart as it is no longer made.

I have a PF2 on my bike now, I think you can see it in my Avatar. It fits great, doesn't rub and goes on and off very easily.

From what I'd read here and seen from their old fitment chart (it's not on the new one), I knew it should work. So I called Nat'l Cycle and at first the guy said only the PF 3 would work. I persisted and he found a chart that indicated the PS 2, model N8372, would fit the VN750. This shield is 20.5" high above the headlight cutout and 30.5" wide. I ordered one on ebay (Item number: 370193111676) for $129.95, shipping included. There are two left if anybody wants one. Best price I've found for a new PS 2!

I'm keepin' all the left over parts. I'm gonna use 'em to build another bike!

I had thought the only difference between the 2 & 3 were the lowers on the 3?
I don't see why they'd say it wouldn't fit, unless, like KM said, they dropped it 'cause it's no longer made?
