What tool for steering adjustment?
I need to tighten up on the bearing up front. I'm getting the clunking sound when I go over rough roads. I'm also putting in Progressive springs up front to eliminate the front end dive (fork oil too while I am up there). My question is, what does everyone here use to tighten/loosen the stem nuts? I don't want to shell out unnecessary bux for the special Kaw tool, if something else works.
I've been maintaining bicycle headsets for years, and I have headset wrenches, but they are all hex. None will handle the star shaped stem nuts on the Vulcan.
As always TIA for any help!
(I don't think the PO did much riding or maintaining on this bike!)
