Sideswiped

So I got sideswiped a few hours ago and my back brake lever is bent out of shape. Is it safe to heat it up and bend it back the way it should be?

first off are you ok?

second yes just be gentle when bending it don't go too fast I have gone as far as to cut and weld mine so a little heat shouldn't hurt it

Yes, I'm fine. No damages to me, thanks for asking.
Only minor scratches to the air filter and right exhaust pipe.
The lever is my only concern.

How in the world are you okay?? Damaged the air filter, exhaust, and brake lever, but didn't hit your foot or leg?? That's amazing!

Glad you are not hurt!

Thanks for the responses, guys.

The car simply pushed me to the side so I felt it on my leg but it didn't damage it.

The only scary part was that I thought I was going to be pushed into the opposite lane, where there was a truck coming my way.
