Rubber Boots on Brake Caliper Posts
There are rubber boots on the caliper bracket posts, upper and lower. I have 3 that seem to be somehow seated firmly at each end.
One upper boot rotates easily with my fingers. However, it is in contact with the caliper bracket on one end and caliper body on the other end. Do I need to be concerned about the possibility of brake fluid leakage or contamination at this location? Or is there just lubricant on the posts?
Just had a brake job at the end of May and noticed the boot was not seated tightly like the other 3 today. No tears in it.
