Rear shock oil change

I'm getting my bike ready for the next riding season and decided to change the oil in the rear shocks. I've used the syringe& hose trick to suck out the old oil,but i noticed that i only got about 120 cc's, with the shocks upsidedown, out of them.
Did they short fill these from the factory?
Should i put back in just what i got out of them?
I was going to refill with 142cc as was specified, unless they have change the specs.
I'm the second owner and as far as i can tell, this has never been done.
Any help is welcome. Thanks.

You just fill up the shocks completely then pour out 88ml, if it's a US bike. It's the air chamber capacity that's important.

when I did mine, i didn't get nearly as much as I was supposed to out of them. I followed Roach's video on it as well as the info in the manual.

fill em up slowly to make sure all air is removed, then pour back out the specified amount.
