Front Breaks making strange sound

The front brakes make a "Air Pressure Release" sound when I use them. Does this happen to anyone? Any ideas what it might be?

Four wheels move the body. Two wheels move the soul.

I'll take a hot at this. There are two sounds that come from the brakes (from the stock pads, at least.) You do hear the pads rub, and then you may also notice a clicking noise from the drilled rotors. The rubbing kind of sounds the same as if you rubbed your hand across a cardboard box.

you won't hear air in the lines unless there is a hole some where.
