2004 front fork seals

i have to replace my seals on my 04 vn750 and never done this before but i have been seeing some videos so i think i can handle it.

If anyone can help me i need to know what weight and how much shock oil i need to put back in each shock and also any other helpful hints would be wonderful.. thanks in advance

hey man, This is the guideline that I used not too long ago. replacing the seals is actually pretty easy.

https://www.vn750.com/forum/showthrea...ght=fork+seals

This list was made by THE vn750 GURU. Lance 328.
Followed these instructions and had no problems.
A member named Roach also posted a vid on the fork seal replacement.
I highly recomend breaking loose, not removing, the allen head bolts on the very bottom of the fork tubes before you do anything.

If you dont have the parts yet, this is what i ordered from cheapcycleparts.com

Fork seal, dust: 92093-1197 order 2
Fork seal, oil: 92049-1230 order 2
Ring, snap: 92033-1201 order 2

Hope this helps you get started and finished.

I suggest getting the snap rings. They are the only thing holding the springs and everything else inside the tube. Maybe you can get yours out without mangaling them, but I could not, they get bent real easy.......jmho.
