Is this normal, I had to remove it? I was under the impression that these guys fit nicely .

New Pirelli MT66 170/80.

I just put oversized MT66's on front and back, and I haven't noticed any rubbing. I haven't really ridden it yet, just pushing it and puttering ahead a bit in the garage, but it seems like it might be more noticeable doing that.

I run the Pirelli MT66 170/80/R15 with a date code of 3910 on the back.
I have ridden a few times and have not noticed any fitment issue.

I can't figure out what in tarnation the deal is. I will check my date codes in a bit. Maybe my center stand was bent or something?

Just put a Shinko 170/80R15 on my 89 and it doesn't rub. Could it be worn swingarm bushings?

It's not the best pic, since I decided to do it after getting home late the other night and had to use a flashlight to illuminate the area, but you can see I've got a decent bit of room around the tire.
