What weight fork oil?

The forks on my 2002 are just beating me to death on pavement that ain't so good!!!
I changed the fort oil a while ago and ran the stuff the manual calls for and the amount recommended but it feels too light.

I'm 175lbs and ride two up a lot fairly fast. (can't go too fast on these things cause the gearing is so low!!!)

I really like the rear shocks after fooling around a lot with the air pressure but the front really sucks!!!

Belray 15W fork oil seems to be indicated for rider (and passenger) weight of #185 or more in this link to the Vulcan Verses:

You might want to consider upgrading to progressive fork springs too.

Huh? It's geared a _little_ low, maybe, because the engine is designed to run at higher rpms. Too many think they're supposed to putt-putt along at low rpms like a Harley.

The VN750 engine is early Ninja engine technology; it'll do every bit of the 140 on the speedo just below redline in 5th gear, altho I wouldn't wanna keep it there for long. It's designed to cruise between 5-7500 rpm, and will do it all day long.
