I $tole a $et of Progre$$ive $hocks

After reading how many of you installed a set of shocks off of a Harley Sportster I decided to keep my eye on eBay. Well, I found a set and the ad read: "This is the left and right shock for a 1991 Harley Sportster. They measure 11" in length. Buying as is". The ad had a Buy it Now price or Best Offer, yep, I sent in a best offer and purchased the set for $60 including shipping. Fast forward 'til today, the shocks arrived and they turned out to be Progressive 412's. What a $teal!

Ok I just got a set of these for $80 with part number 412-4005c, I did verify that these fit the 1991 Harley Sportster went to go put them on but the bushing space is not correct so what did you guys do pop out the old bushing from the stock shock and put them on these????

I guess I could go to the parts house and try to find a shim bushing...

I slapped them on and tightened the bolts. No problems as of yet. Maybe when the weather warms up I will replace the inner bushings to fit properly.
