Steel Brake Lines

Saw those fancy braided steel brake lines that EQ put on and they look very nice. So I got to thinking, instead of adapting Harley lines maybe there are exact replacements out there for the VN. Does anyone know if the fittings on the ends of the lines are also metric and if so what the thread measure is?

Better yet, does anyone know if there are direct replacements in steel?

Thanks Flitecontrol. These look like (except for the color) the ones that EQ bought and I think these are more money. What I am asking about is a 3 line setup to exactly replace what we have as original equipment. That is one line from the master cylinder going to that splitter in the front fork. This also leaves me wondering if the fittings on these or any American made lines will screw into our brakes or do we need metric fittings.

I think both Galfer:

and Russell:
http://www.russellperformance.com/index_moto.shtml (you might have to download their metric catalog)

make direct replacement lines for the Vulcan. Galfer will in fact make custom lengths.

And I am not 100% sure on this, but I think the Harley brakes are in fact made in Japan and are metric...

The "splitter" as you call it makes it a PIA to bleed the brakes on the bike, so most go with eliminating it. Your best bet here is to call Galfer, after measuring the 3 lines in question, and they will be able to help you out.
