Lowering the Vulcan

Seeing that I am all of about 5'6" tall, I have thought how great it would be if the bike were lower. What do you all consider to be the best way to accomplish this?
Thanks,

you can either install shorter shocks or install a lowering bracket to drop the stock shocks. i cant remember who make the brackets, but someone will chime in to let you know. i myself put on 11" progressive shocks to drop the rear end. they lowered the seat height from 28.9" to about 27". i wouldn't suggest any shorter or you my run into the rear tire rubbing the fender.

Garage
the lowest i have seen the vn go without scraping was 10" progresive shocks in the rear and a progresive 2" lowering kit in the front. This set up assumes you are running stock tires or smaller.
