Triple tree sizing help!

Hey guys, I was praying that the misalignment on my bike was something easy like a bent axle, broken bearings or something, as soon as I got the wheel off its apparent that the forks dont arent exactly parallel. Im trying to save a little dough and saw a nice tree on ebay (upper and lower) with clamps an all from an 1985 VN700 Vulcan, will this fit my 1994 vn750? If not do you guys know if any other triple tree's from other vulcans will fit without any serious modifications? Also, is it more likely that the triple tree will twist and not the forks, or are the forks just as weak as the tree?

The vn700 tree is the same, you could have a bent fork.

I have both fork tubes and trees from a VN750 I'm parting out. Let me know via a PM if you need either.
