New tire installation problem/question?

So I got an oversized 170/80 15 and took it to the tire shop to get mounted today and they spent 45 mins on it and said they couldnt get it to bead up.

Anyway they finally did - but my question is - should I worry about it blowing out on the road or anything - or should I be good? I am just nervous cuz I heard like a loud air pop about 5 or 6 times as they were trying to do it.

the guy at the shop that couldnt get it to beed must not go a lot of tires your tire will be fne on that rim... i dont know the specifics, but 20mm wider tire isnt gonna change to the next level of rim size, ive ran over and under a 1/2 inch on car tires for entire lifes of the tire... if its not perfect it will be close enough ...

The air pressure keeps the bead from unseating. It will be fine.

I think the pinch bolts are 10 ftlbs and the axle nut is 45...but don't take my word on it..

Whatta mean you don't have a service manual ???

LOL

Standard Torque table (* = this is a Standard Fastener Torque)
-----------------------
These dimensions are the sizes of the bolt/screw,
NOT the size of the tool to fit the nut/bolt head.

5 mm = 30- 34 in-lb* (> 3/16")
6 mm = 52- 69 in-lb* (< 1/4")
8 mm = 10- 13 ft-lb* (= 5/16")
10 mm = 19- 25 ft-lb* (< 7/16")
12 mm = 33- 45 ft-lb* (< 1/2")
14 mm = 54- 72 ft-lb* (< 9/16")
16 mm = 83-115 ft-lb* (> 5/8")
18 mm = 125-165 ft-lb* (< 3/4")
20 mm = 165-240 ft-lb* (< 13/16")

NOTE: to convert in-lb to ft-lb, divide by 12 (Ex: 60 in-lb = 5 ft-lb)
to convert ft-lb to in-lb, multiply by 12 (Ex: 8 ft-lb = 96 in-lb)
.................................................. ...............................

Most of these torque values are from the Clymer Service Manual

If you find errors or have values not listed, email "doowriter123", and I will update the file.
