How do pads come off front caliper

It is not apparent to me of how the bigger pad comes off? It seems to me that the pin just doesn't move in far enough for the pad to come off.

If you grab hold of the black brace (the part that gets bolted onto the fork), push it *in* towards the piston - sometimes it takes a few pushes to get it to loosen up, but that should move the pins in just enough for that larger pad to slip out (with a little bit of jiggling).

Just like Cindy said. Sort of a lean/twist/slide maneuver-off of one pin first, then the other. There's a number of threads around describing it in better detail, but hopefully you get the idea. It will come out of there though.
