Front Fender Swap Out Option

Hey,

I was thinking of swapping my front fender of my 05 vn750, for a drifter type, like off of a 1500. I like the big indian look.

I was wondering if it was the same width, or would it need a lot of conversion?

Thanks!

yea,

I checked out that style after you posted it... not quite what I'm looking for..

I want the long hanging look on the sides as well as down the back. Anyone have any specs on fork widths? So I know how wide each is?

So it looks like I was able to find a purchase price on a painted, no extra parts.. ugh, from the dealer. $504.

So... I'll be exploring wrecking yards maybe. But everything I've read so far indicates that this is a straight swap.

Will keep you posted.

Hi Osoi,
Which model front fender was the direct fit? Have you checked eBay? I see parts there all the time.

I was hoping to swap for a 2000-2006 Vulcan 800 Drifter. I think given the frame specs, and fork specs it's probably the same width.

So, even if I had to drill new mounting holes, the factory color combinations would already be spot on.

Like I said, the words not in on that one. I'd like to find someone up here (Seattle) That has a Drifter so I could just get a look at it. But you don't see many of those around here.

Everyone rides damned BMW's. I guess it's a weather thing. Pussies.

If you see something on Ebay, by all means shoot me a PM. I'd love it.

Well, I did find a Nomad fender. 8" across. Sounds too wide for our Vulcans.

Sure does have the right look though
