kawasaki bulletin

hello; was wondering if anyone has drilled their clutch hub as shown in the kawasaki bulletin. it seems a series of 1/16 '' holes in each recess of the hub in a pattern shown on the bulletin is will remedy the reason for the coffee grinding sound heard on many of our vulcans on intial take off. i have 9300 mi. on my 2001 and have the noise.the bulletin states lack of oil into the plate area causes the noise. i have new std. barnett friction plates and springs ready to install. but if the plates and springs are in tolerance and all looks good i plan on drilling as per the bulletin by kawsaki. one way or the other i hope to eliminate the grunch. will give update upon completion regards ,ken in penfield n,y,
