Strange rubbing after Stator R/R Replacement

Hi all.

Just posted in the newbie section. Go check out my post if you want to know more about me.

So I've been searching the forums for the past couple of days and I can't seem to find this particular issue.
Did an engine pull for the Stator and R/R. Everything went back together pretty well except for the Front Bevel Gear (FBG from here on). If I had one piece of advice it would be DO NOT remove the FBG unless absolutely necessary.

Anyways, on my first attempt I had trouble getting the universal lined up and had the FBG out of alignment. Ended up overtorquing and bent the clutch rod. One month later I have a new one from Partzilla.

Second attempt. Removed the Clutch Release lever, plug, and Clutch Rod Gear. Pulled final drive to back out driveshaft. FBG lined up nice and neat. Insert Clutch Rod, Clutch Rod Gear, Plug. Clutch Release lever reinstalled per the Clymer manual. Clutch adjusted and feels normal. Everything else (Driveshaft, Final drive, Rear wheel) buttoned back up.

tl:dr Now the problem. About every revolution of the rear wheel there is a drag noise and feel coming from the FBG. Removed clutch rod first to make sure i didn't bend it again. Clutch rod looks fine. I have now disassembled all the way back to the FBG again and know for sure it isn't rear brake, final drive or driveshaft problem.

So, sorry for the long post, but my question is. Does this sound like something in the FBG is just binding, or do I have some other issue?
Just checking before I pull the FBG again and wait another 1-2 weeks to get a new gasket from Kawasaki.

Thanks in advance for any advice!
