Final drive oil type??

If i live in central California with 100 degree weather will valvoline 80w-90 be okay to use in my final drive?

its supposed to be API Gl-5 90w or in other words straight 90w that meats the API GL-5 standards.

Any 80/85w90 gear oil will work fine.

Actually its not. you asked a specific oil question with a specific temperature, Jerry answered you with what you wanted to hear, weather it was the right answer or not. The specs I gave came straight out of the Kawasaki Service Manual, Owners Manual, Service Documents, and the Clymers Manual. every one else gave what they use or would use, not what is Kawasaki's recommended oil.
