put the bike up on a lift to remove back wheel, change tire and check spines.
everything is coming apart fine but there is a drain plug with a notice from kawasaki about hypoid oil in the shaft mechanism, I used a 11mm to remove drain plug and oil is being drained ok. looking at the site, i feel different since there is no mention of this option but rather a grease option on the shaft mechanism. Could somebody light up my lantern, i am ready to remove shaft attachment to the wheel.

thanks

Can you post a picture of your bike, and then one showing your oil. I think you are referring to the final drive, and not to the drive shaft/final drive conector.

Have you read fergy's spline lube thread?
It is "stickied" to remain at the top of the Transmission / Rear End forum, so it is easy to find. Here is the link:
https://www.vn750.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17274

Scroll down to the seventh picture where you will find the final drive that you drained the gear oil (or hypoid oil) from.
There are 4 bolts that hold the final drive to the driveshaft cover tube.
The splines that need the Moly60 are in the driveshaft/final drive connector visible when the final drive is pulled back to remove it, along with the wheel.
Just follow fergy's writeup and photos and you can't go wrong.

Note that starting around post 37 or so that wib714 adds instructions for cleaning/lubing the splines connecting the fiinal drive to the wheel.
