If you are running stock size tires you will read about 5 mph fast, 60 mph at 4000 rpms is normal. You should be getting around 42-54 mpg depending how you ride. I average about 48 mpg

30-32 mpg is low. I get 42 to 60, if I stay from WOT and keep her at 45-50 mph riding the back roads. You running a stock setup? Cleaned the air filters? Checked the plugs? Adjusted the mixture screws? Air pressure of tires? Used any Seafoam lately? All the normal stuff to think of.

I average about 48 also, but I've gotten as low as 36 when I really tach it out. Try a few ounces of Seafoam treatment in the gas and see if your performance improves, it might take a few tanks..... and it wouldn't hurt to check your plugs to see how they're burning.
