another bone dry spline - 2001 15,500 miles

Hey Everyone,

I just pulled off the rear end of my Vulcan; a large amount of rusty dust was bathing the spline in the coupling for who knows how many miles. I'm ashamed I didn't pull it apart sooner.

On the positive side of things, only the coupling appears to be worn out. The final drive splines look good (enough) to go.

Anyone have a best priced source for parts?

So, just another reminder - check your splines if you haven't already.

I've got a driveshaft, but I just offered it to someone who may or may not need it on another thread. PM sent.

I'm keepin' all the left over parts. I'm gonna use 'em to build another bike!

I have a drive shaft as well. PM me if you need one.

Just in case you don't know. The splined coupler can be removed from the rear part of the drive shaft.
The whole drive shaft does not need to come out. It will take some snap ring plier for removal.
