Brass ring

I've taken my carbs apart a few times in the past but this time around this little brass ring fell out from somewhere and I have no idea where it goes. It's slightly thinner and longer than the ones used in the throttle assembly and I can't seem to find a second one to match. Any ideas where this little guy might have come from?

Join the club dude, don't know how many times I have had things fall out of an assembly that I have no idea where to put them back.
