Question What jet sizes are recommended for ear shave and a de-goat?

What jet sizes are recommended for ear shave and a de-goat? I've got aftermarket pod filters and placed a straight pipe in place of the goat's belly. I originally went with 145 mains and 42 pilots just because that's what the kit I have came with. After about 800 miles on it, I checked out my spark plugs and they were black and sooty. So I changed out the mains for 140 but I don't have any other pilot jets. I have the mixture screw out 2 turns. What do you guys recommend I do?

Any shims on the needle? How many turns out of the mixture screw? Also does the mixture screw adjust overall fuel mixture or the idle circuit mixture?

If you find yourself stumbling under heavy throttle, try a single shim instead of 2.
