Fuel tanks compatability: 700 vs. 750

The fuel tank on my 85 700 has developed a serious leak. I have been checking out fuel tanks on ebay and here. My question is: will a fuel tank from any other year (750) fit my 700?
Thanks,

Yep! And there's one for sale in the sell section.

Yep. The only real difference is the cc of the bike. Just don't freak at the tube sticking out the back of the tank. It's just an overflow tube.

I just bought a newer tank for my 700 and that tube at back confused me for a minute before I figured out what it was.
