What is name/function of this carb external plunger\spring

Is it possible to delete a misfired thread I started accidentaly?

Got stuck for a while tonight after cleaning out and rebuilding carbs. Moral of the story .. take many pictures of things BEFORE you take apart. Don't assume a diagram will be all you need in the manual

In my case the coil spring orientation caused grief and searching was difficult without naming part name

Choke plunger assembly? It caused me no end of grief, because spatial relations is not my thing. Couldn't turn the parts around in my head to figure out how everything lined up.

Indeed! Once I found a properly angled picture all was well, took some time without knowing parts name.

I will say spending 6 hours with a carb you get to know it much better haha.

For me I took a bunch of pictures, but I had lost those exact pieces you have in your hand. I ended up going to the motorcycle junk and getting the pieces there. Moral of the story for me, take better care of the pieces you pull off, especially small pieces.

Don't take my word for it. I'm just a foolish newbie.
When in doubt, just know that I am only joking around.

Yes! Also, when you have boxes and baggies available 2ft away and don't use them and loose a piece into the abyss underneath work bench you will not be proud of yourself.. and no one else will care how sad you feel haha.

How many trips have I made to hardware stores or ordered small fasteners due to lack of immediate storage?

The sad thing is that you don't really learn your lesson and you do the same thing and wouldn't you know it, you've done gone lost the damn pieces the same way you did before.

Don't take my word for it. I'm just a foolish newbie.
