Stuck on a fuel leak issue.

One side the of the fuel line seems to have some sort of back pressure issue. Once one line is fully connected from the petcock to the filter to the carb it will leak fuel from the filter and the petcock fitting. It's almost like there is to much pressure in the line. I have no idea why. I've tried different filters. The line doesn't appear to be clogged or leak as it only leaks at the filter and petcock fitting.

Anyone have any ideas? It didn't do this when I originally got the bike, only when I started reassembling the bike after replacing some parts.

Can you take a picture of how you have everything hooked up and where it's leaking?

Are there clamps on the hoses? These carbs sometimes tend to not play well with filters installed.

Time for new hoses maybe?

I wouldn't expect to see excess pressure, unless the tank vents are plugged tight and it's sitting in blazing sun.

Yes fuel is gravity fed, there's no "pressure" there. The fittings on the petcock are just pressed in, and they can get loose and leak.

I'd suggest removing the filters and installing new line (5/16 ID)

Fixed with new fuel line and fittings.

Now the battery is dead, if it isn't one thing it's another with this bike. :P
