Want to clean my carbs..need some advice!!

Pulled the carbs of my bike and I am going to try and clean them myself..carburetor virgin here any tips anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated..c'mon guys light it up!!

When removing the bowls put the Phillips screwdriver in the screw and tap with a screwdriver

Be careful not to mix parts between the two carbs, at least the needle on the diaphragm assembly is a different size. Have also read of people finding different size jets in the two carbs.

Someone must have been in those carbs before, like roaches carbs on his rebuild video. They are identical and all my parts were when I put it back together today. I think its a good idea to check when you pull them apart to see if something has been changed. I took pics of mine soaking in cleaner before they were put back in.

Same and same. Externally the hardware mounts differently to accommodate the cables, but internally the cylinders, heads, and carbs are set to be timed, adjusted, and synchronized together. You couldn't synchronize them if they were different. They'd pull differently on the vacuum.
