carb flutter?

Dont know if its the right section, I think it is,I got an 04 750, ear shave done, stock exhaust no air leaks to be found. the problem is when I increase the vacuum [accelerate] I hear a fluttering, kinda like when we used to put playing cards in the spokes of our bicycles. was thinking the diaphragm in the carb maybe torn? could I be hearing the reed valves? not metalic in sound, compression is good, where to start.Anyone with any ideas un this let me know, dont want to miss this Hawaiian weather.

Keep the shiny side up guys

The carbs get noisier with pod filters, but it doesn't come with driveability problems. Seems like my carbs are as loud as the stock pipes sometimes.

You mentioned the sound, but no problems with running. What sort of driveability problems are you having.

Don't think the reeds could be very loud at all, not that much air involved with them.

Torn diaphragm would make the engine bog when you get on the throttle.

Holy chit that's a pretty good fit, could've had a couple of those already, might be the seat I need. Does it feel like you're sitting any different? Figured I might not shave the rack and all, and fill the space kinda like you did.

My carbs get loud when the throttle is really opened, then they make a sort of craaaa-aaa-aaa-ck sound just as you back off to shift (reminds me of a crazy duck). I think cage drivers sometimes hear my carbs before they hear the pipes (stock).

Ya know it doesn't look like there is a lot of padding on it but it is more comfortable, I sit about 2" lower and 3 or 4 back, don't have that cramped up feel any more, I think if I get a different set of bars, looking for a set with abut 4" rise and 30" spread I'll be closer to comfortable. maybe tomorrow I'll cut the back bar down so the pad is just above the seat, gotta have something to tie a 12 pack too I'll send a new picture when its done, also gonna mount the horns where the side reflectors are. going to get started on that tonite. gotta clean up the front end.

Thanks for the feedback. Sitting about 2" back is what I've been looking for. Moving this seat to the top of my list!
