Battery is always step 1.

If you want to try jump starting it, make sure the car you're using is OFF and not running. Cars push out more power and can hurt the electrics of a bike if you jump it when the car is running.

If it is the battery I'd suggest an AGM replacement. You can find a list here: http://wiki.vulcan750.net/index.php?..._AGM_Batteries

x2 on tanner's post.

Mine acted the same way with a weak battery, new Absorbed Glass Mat type battery cured it. Really makes a difference on this particular bike.

Was able to get it started on the old battery using starting fluid.

These bike are very sensitive and one thing they really hate is being called "Volcan". They prefer "Vulcan". lol You also have two different threads started with the same exact no start situation. You have to stick with just one at a time unless you are having two or more different problems. Members will be confused as to which to answer and give advice. When you get a chance please do a proper introduction under the Newbie Check-In heading telling us a bit about your riding/wrenching experience and your location please.

and always remember, "Ride until you rot!"

but having to face the fact that this is a lifetime routine
going forward. Five operations done and it still continues.

Is that when she started throwing things on the road? Never use proper first names with any female. Always use generic terms such as Babe, Beautiful, and such to avoid just that problem.
