Bike farted and then eventually died.

Riding down the highway today at about 60 and she dropped to about 1000 Rpms then backfired hard and was ok. Went to ride home tonight on the same highway and at about 70 it just died. No warning. So the Rpms drop to zero. Luckily I was able to get her to the side of the road and she fired right up with no problems. Any ideas? Thinking maybe the air fuel mixture isn't even. The other day it back fired out of the front cyclinder. Also my oil light came on yesterday and today. Gonna change that this weekend. Could that be the culprit for some reason?

Are these all cannon fire out the tailpipes or some sneezing though the carb?

The tach drop with cannon fire sounds electrical/ignition related. Wonky junction box, bad key switch. wire. etc. Something is intermittently shutting down the ignition, I think.

Lean mixture can cause sneezing out the carb, but a sticky intake valve will too.

I wouldn't relate the oil light to the problem, unless it does happen to be some strange electrical happenings. My oil light flashed once in a while last season during warm up idling, but I haven't seen that since I seafoamed the oil, coincidence or not.

My ignition is a little wonky actually. Sometimes the key doesn't power the ignition. And yea it sounded like a sneeze out the carb earlier

We used to blow mufflers off cars by turning the key off at speed, coast in gear, turn the key back on, *BOOM* custom exhaust pipes.

Was the engine fully warmed up when you had the carb sneezes? Cold engines like more fuel.

I was on the bike for about 10-15 minutes at that point. Would think that was good enough to warm it up. No?

Yes. Should've been warm enough.

I was getting a sneeze from the left carb, haven't had it since I seafoamed the oil for 300 miles.

Have noticed sticky valves on many of these engines, and it's usually an intake valve.

Rode it for around 150 miles since last week without a problem and then yesterday all that started. I also put super in it because the guy that fixed it said I need to run super even though it was advised not to by everyone on here

Just because he fixed a loose wire you missed doesn't mean he's some magic motorcycle mechanic.

You have a bike with non adjustable timing, set from factory to run a certain octane. The only thing putting different octane will do is make the bike run sub-optimally. In fact, it may also account for your pre-ignition issue.

I'd start by putting the right gas in the bike personally.
